DHL Logistics lends a hand to 9th Mumbai Marathon

Yesterday, the 9th Mumbai Marathon, India’s annual international running contest took place. The event was supported by the international express parcel delivery company, DHL.
Amongst various tasks, the logistics giant managed the delivery of athletes sports kits, uniforms, the movement of medicine and broad cast equipment. An approximate number of 100 DHL vehicles and members of staff ensured a safe and secured race day at the Mumbai Marathon.
Moreover, the local NGO, Magic Bus, promoting personal development through sport education also received support through the parcel delivery company.
Malcolm Monterio, SVP and Area Director, South Asia, DHL Express, said that
“[DHL was] proud to be associated with the Mumba Marathon since its inception in 2004 as it reflects our commitment to spend and excellence, which are also DHL’s core brand values.”
