Important update regarding services to Australia
Status Updates - 22nd July 2011
All cons that cannot be uplifted due to cancellation of scheduled flights and or sent on a later flights using different carriers or the following day should be updated with "LXW" and appropriate remarks.
All cons that miss connections due to flights departing earlier than scheduled departure times, should be updated with status code "MNA" and remarks.
All cons delayed in arrival as a result of origins using different flights that arrive after the usual scheduled flights, flight cancellations and or flight diversions to other Airports should be updated with "LAW" and appropriate remarks.
As the Ash Cloud continues there are likely to be further impacts. There are international flights bound for Sydney that are being diverted. Please keep escalations to a minimum

As you would be aware Volcanic Ash Clouds have returned to Australian skies resulting in further significant disruption to air linehaul passenger and freighter schedules, with large numbers of flights being cancelled and/or re-directed.
Major Airports currently impacted as a result of the operating decisions of respective airlines to date include :-
Qantas and some other carriers have cancelled flights, whilst other carriers are assessing the situation As was the case last week, the position is fluid with decisions being made in light of information available and relevant at the time.
Our contingency planning, covering both domestic and international requirements is focused on decision making based on the facts available at the time and as such the final detailed plan for operations this evening and into tomorrow will be concluded by 16:30 AEST (GMT +10) and will be subsequently communicated accordingly.
The solutions will involve utilisation of :-
any freighter services which may continue to operate passenger services both pm and am with current and alternate airlines that continue to provide services
